Hello, my name is Ms. Sara Mischnick and I wanted to take a moment to tell you a little about myself.  I was born in Michigan City, IN and lived there until I was in 5th grade.  I then moved to Country Club Hills and Lansing, Illinois for a total of 5 years, before coming to Florida to finish high school. I attended Riverview High School, where I played volleyball, basketball, and softball. I was a member of their 1st State Championship Softball Team in 2000. I attended college at Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN, with a partial volleyball scholarship and received a Bachlors Degree in Elementary Education.  While in college my parents moved us around to Slidell, LA, Las Vegas, NV, and then finally to South Bend, IN. (This is where my love for travel came from.)
I moved back to Florida in July 2006, when I accepted a teaching position in 4th grade here at Summerfield Elementary.  I taught 2 years in 4th grade, before moving up to 5th grade.  I am starting my 6th year in 5th grade now and absolutely love it.  I teach Language Arts and Social Studies, which are passions of mine.

I love sports(football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, softball), reading, travel, coffee, going to the beach, and watching tv/movies.

I have an adorable cat named Callie, who thinks everyone should love her and give their lap to her.
